It was a beautiful night in the Kingdom of Gems, a night where most could say that nothing could go wrong, but usually would have some crazy thing happen.

A young, black-furred fox was standing outside of a balcony, looking up at the stars, occasionally looking back at the dance hall behind him. This fox was named Fawks, but his full title was Gem-Knight Emerald Fawks.

"Pondering, are we?"

Fawks looked behind him and saw that his lord was there.

"Master Diamond." The fox said, taking a little bow as the large knight approached him. "Yeah. Still surprised that I'd end up here of all places. Never thought that I'd end up with a piece of Emerald within me, let alone turning me into a Gem Knight."

He sighed.

"Speaking of, any sight of Emerald?"

"No," The lord answered. "Ever since he took off with those wind sages to the mainland, there's been no sighting of him."

Said sigh turned into a groan after Fawks heard that.

Master Diamond placed his hand on the fox's head.

"Listen Fawks, I know you really don't want to be here, but since you're part of Emerald, and with him gone, we need you to fill in his position of Gem-Knight until we get him back; or at least until we can find someone to replace him. If we're going to replace him, we're going to need the part of him that's in you, so until we find someone compatible, you must remain here."

"I know." Fawks replied. "It's not even that I'm being forced to stay, it's the fact that I was so close to finding the guy I was looking for, and then all this happened..."

He looked back to the sky.

'Gigo...'

Master Diamond chuckled, then gave the vulpine's head a little rub.

"Worry not, young one." He said. "When this is all settled, know that the Gem-Knights will help you, we do owe you for staying here. After all, you do have the power to leave. Your power combined with Emerald's is a power that we have never seen before."

Fawks nodded.

Being combined with Emerald, Fawks had gained the power of Transparency; a power that allowed him to slip past enemies.

He might not be a strong attacker, but it was as Diamond said, there was really nothing stopping him from leaving the kingdom.

Well, actually there was.

Though he didn't think he looked half bad, He was Fawks the Twilightsworn, not Gem-Knight Emerald Fawks.

He couldn't face Gagagigo as he currently was; he needed to be his true self, and for that to happen, he needed that part of Emerald out of him.

Not to mention, becoming a Gem-Knight also took away some of his powers, One, he could no longer contact his friends Wulf and Castel through telepathy, and most importantly, he could no longer summon his Crystal Contrast Sword, now that he was Earth attribute instead of Dark.

Despite everything, even if he was just a bystander in the events that took place, he needed to fill in for Emerald until a solution is found.

He sighed once again, but this time it was more comical, and a smile appeared on the fox's face.

"Being responsible sucks sometimes." He said.

"You're telling me. I'm the King." Diamond replied, laughing. "I'm just glad that out of all the people there, it was you who became part of Emerald. Who know's what kind of trouble we'd be in if it that power landed in the wrong hands."

Fawks knew that his lord was right; there were many people out there with dark hearts that would abuse power such as the one he had.

"Anyway, come inside Fawks. We are having a party after all. Fusionist from all over are to be here. You need to take your mind off things for now and go have some fun."

Fawks thought taking his mind off things would be impossible, but the least he could do is go get some food.

Giving his lord a nod, he stepped inside the building, being greeted to the bright light that was the dance hall. More people seemed to have arrived while he was outside.

Elemental Heroes, Gem-Knights, Destiny Heroes, Melodius ones, Gladiator Beats, some interesting dragons, ect...

Well, there was almost everything but Ancient Gears, who apparently were banned from returning here.

However, there was a monster there that stood out...

"A Frightfur?"

There was a Frightfur monster at the dining table, chowing down at pretty much everything there. Surprisingly there were people around it, chuckling and even petting it.

"What's going on here?" Fawks asked as he got close.

"The Frightfur from town seemed to have made its way here." Someone replied. "It's no problem though; he's kinda dumb, but he's friendly at least, and really seems to be enjoy chowing down all the food."

It was cute, but Fawks couldn't help but feel a little bad for the kitchen staff, knowing that they're going need to replace the food a bit quicker than usual.

Though Fawks would be lying if he said he didn't use his powers to bug the kitchen staff by stealing sweets while no one is looking.

"Does he talk?" Fawks asked.

"Nope."

The fox could do without the giant scissors, but if he was friendly, then the frightfur could make a nice dance partner.

"Well, minus the fact that he's a construct."

Twas the first of three to be wiped out,
It brings us closer to winning this 'bout.
My monster's do hope you had fun,
'Cause our dynamic dance in now fully done!!!

Whoops, we almost forgot about you!
But now that you're beat, we won.
And this deul is thoroughly through~
