Hey, nice job! I noticed you're looking for some critique, so I'd like to give a few quick pointers. The first thing I want to note is the edges. It looks like most of the edges are blurred and there's a lot of blending. Something like this can work well to create a hazy atmosphere, however, when this is done to the whole image it loses emphasis. If I were to paint over this, the first thing I would do is sharpen the edges in and around the eye: separating the eye from the lids, pupil from the iris and so on.
Something else I want to bring up is structure and anatomy. Without much change in value, it's difficult to make out the forms or structure. I'm coming from a more academic point of view, but it would be nice to see things like the cheekbone moving into the eye or the muscles around the eye and how they transition into the muzzle. Knowing the anatomy and structure can really help in making an image more believable. However, it's up to you and what you're going for.
Good job on this, and best of luck moving forward.
