With the beginning of the new year of the Kindergarten (actually the last year before school starts), Sascha was a bit nervous, because he knew that they would get a new caretaker.
Somehow the little bear hybrid got quite attached to his old caretaker, but the institution needed all of their personal for the younger classes and even had to hire an additional kindergarten teacher who would take care of the older kids, like Sascha.
Quite a change.
Sascha's step mum had to drop him off a little early, because his brother Kuraiko had an appointment, so he was already at the kindergarten before the other kids would arrive.
With a mixture of shyness and curiosity he waited in his classroom when the door suddenly opened.
A large, imposing furry shape entered the room, almost 2 meters tall and with broad shoulders and a muscular build.
Surprised and a little intimidated by the big Wolf Sascha took a step back with a startled mew, half-hiding behind his lynx plushie.
But when he finally took a good look, there was something else.
Despite the large build, there was something soft and careful about the wolfs movement.
Fluffy dark fur framed his face and his green eyes peaked from behind wire-rimmed glasseswith both a caring, warm look and a bit of a mischievous sparkle.
Seeing that he startled his charge, Jake immediately crouched down, so he would be at face level with the little bearkitty and smiled.
"Hey..." he said with a surprisingly soft voice "I'm Jake, your new kindergarten teacher. And who are you two?" Smiling he pointed both at Sammy and Sascha, noticing how close Sascha held his plushie and knew that it was very important for the kid.
"H...hello, Sir. This is Sammy, my best friend. And I'm Sascha"
"Nice to meet you guys. And please, it's just Jake."
"Oh, okay. Sammy, say Hello to Jake!" Holding out Sammy, Sascha let his lynx flick his ear.
With a broad grin on his fluffy face, Jake carefully took the plushie, placed Sammy on his head and let him peak out between his ears. Then he extended his arms.
Sammy seemed to smile encouragingly from his position, so the ursine took a few steps forward.
Carefully, Jake scooped up Sascha and pulled him into a warm, caring hug, gently supporting him by placing one paw under the little bearkitty's crinkly padded rump and holding him close with the other.
With a quite cat-like purr Sascha snuggled into Jake, holding the embrace for a bit, before being placed back on his feet.
"Alright little one, the others will arrive soon, then we can all have some fun in the garden..." the big wolf suggested.
Each new caretaker needs to be approved by their huggability... and it seems Jake passed this test with flying colors. :)
Such an adorable picture I got from
lyk as a gift.
A really sweet scene with a big, gently hug by his fursona Jake and my fursona Sascha. He said he wanted to draw my sona for a a while now and I'm so happy, that he thought up such a sweet and cute scene for this interaction.
Really love how the big wolf Jake is a such a gentle, huggable giant ...and he would do great a kindergarten teacher.
Adorable! Thank you sooooo very much for the picture! *hugs*
