There is a bush growing in the far corner of my back yard. I have no idea what kind of plant it might be. For better than 15 years, it has lived in the shadow between my wooden fence and a gigantic mulberry bush. It was a spindly thing, barely alive and I had to keep ripping away a vine that threatened to choke it to death.

A few weeks ago, I cut down the mulberry bush. As if to thank me for freeing it from years of solitary confinement, it produced these beautiful blossoms for me.
