There's actually some context behind this: a secret terminal late in the Marathon fan-scenario Tempus Irae is of a Marathon/Pinky and the Brain crossover that actually provides a tiny bit of background detail for the rest of TI if you pay attention. I found out later that the old version of the Tempus Irae site was hosted on the Watchtower, a prominent PatB portal.

Maybe Durandal would set Brain loose on the Pfhor and see what happens; he can't possibly do a worse job than the people already in charge.
