I decided to start coming up with some backstories for these unusually large Pokemon and here's what I came up with for Ynaa the Abosl (Ynaasol for short!).
Ynaa used to be a normal Absol, but some scientists decided they wanted to find a way to make a Pokemon achieve mega-evolution without the usual mega-evolution stone and trainer bond. Using nanites... Nothing could ever go wrong with that plan.
Long story short, the guy writing the code for the nanites really needed to do some more testing. The code errors out during the function for telling the nanites to duplicate until they reach full body saturation, the count of nanites present in the body gets wiped, and then after handling the error the function just gets called again. Now you've got an infinite loop and the software has stopped responding. Oops.
As for why the growth? The nanites have a very basic intelligence and eventually realize there is not enough space for them all and so make more space for themselves somehow? Also the markings on Ynaa's body are where particularly heavy concentrations of nanites are present.

Pokemon and Absol belong to Nintendo
As always, questions, comments, thoughts, suggestions, and critiques are welcome!
