The foaming is almost done. Here's more of the detailing. I was really torn as how to make the "fluffiness", but I'm gonna try sculpting it out in foam. I'm not sure exactly how the fur will sit on it, but only one way to find out.
Note to self: Next time I want to do a fursuit project (which I hope isn't until after I graduate next May, lol), I am definitely investing in different foam. The JoAnns "high density" is just too soft and squishy for me. If anyone has any suggestions or places to get foam, please mention them :3
And good god, my desk is a mess. I can't wait til this project is over and my room can be clean again, lol.

yeah, the electric often moves too fast and doesnt cut as well as a good old utility knife does, i use like, the 2.99 extendable blade knifes, gives me alot to cut with and the dexterity of a manual tool, personally ive never used an electric cutter save for plastic, and the knife worked better in that case too!
everyone complains that cutting soft foam is a nightmare but i have not had a single problem shapeing it at all
..but then again they complain about hand sewing too
i remember the ol shop teacher told my class that our first prodject of the semester was to build three full sized sheds, of course its a fully funded wood shop with all the power equipment you'll ever need
he handed us a saw, hammer, and a copy of the plans
