made this from some scrap plywood to hold a set of speakers I connect to my player before sleeping. I used oil pastels to color the wood. I used to use crayons to color wood when I was little because we did not have any art paints or markers, oil pastels are essentially high end crayons. It actually gives a nice old weathered appearing finish, like an antique toy. Coloring this item was like stepping back in time, and I quite enjoyed it. it has turned out to be a useful art project.
