Translated or not, it still came out very nicely, Khisa. I suspect it lost a lot in translation though, poetry and songs generally don't come across languages well, sadly. I like it, though! :)

Yes, it lost its rhythm and rhyme scheme, which the German poem has. Maybe with a lot of effort I could make an English version, but of course it would be different then in meaning, it's hard to do both - to conserve meaning and style in a foreign language, sometimes it's possible - gladly. But it takes a lot of effort and I'm just too tired to try that now. So the meaning has to be enough, glad you still like it. It's somehow ... sad that if I write a poem in English most of my German friends will not get the whole thing and viceversa if I write a German poem. And sometimes I cannot translate the neologisms I create, too.
