Team Rocket anthro pokemon, heh, that is awesome! =^^=

If my memories of totally-not-awakening-furries early-00s pokemon fanfiction are correct, the fact that this person is now an anthro pokemon is actually all Team Rocket's fault in the first place, possibly with brainwashing also involved for why they're so enthusiastically wearing Rocket gear, or possibly they are an internal volunteer, and there is a plucky team of three-to-six anthros that escaped and are now in hiding from the Rockets, their anthros, the world, and their own families, attempting to stop Team Rocket's nefarious plans - as soon as they figure out what said plans actually ARE, beyond turning random teenagers into anthropomorphic pokemon. And at least one of said group's parents are working for the Rockets, either willingly or unwillingly, it will be unknown which until further into the fic.

...believe it or not, some of those fics were actually really goddamn good, or at least they seem in my hazy memories. That was part of why there were so many imitators.

There's a lot of fanwork out there that is very readworthy. (My delving mostly has gone into nuzlocke runs and PMD fictions, If you ever see something by Kitfox Crimson, give it a read!)
