Here's another "Front & Back" comic gag with my lupine character 'Donovan Lupus'...
Most of you have probably been following the news about 'Hurricane Florence', as it continues on its path to make landfall with the Carolinas before the end of this week.
In his usual attempt to distract the public from other news items (including the 17th anniversary of "9-11", the 'border wall', more tariffs, the new Bob Woodward book, the anonymous New York Times op-ed, etc.), President Trump held a White House press conference about the impending storm (while [supposedly] claiming victory over the two 2017 hurricanes that devastated Puerto Rico - ignoring the fact that the death toll had risen, from 64 to nearly 3,000)!
During said press conference, the POTUS described 'Hurricane Florence' as being 'tremendously big' and 'tremendously wet'. That's like calling an iceberg 'tremendously cold'.
Once again, 'Old 45' managed to shoot himself in the foot... Which foot? Probably the one he keeps putting in his mouth!
'Donovan Lupus' has an apropos T-shirt, with a message about the President's lack of knowledge about meteorology...
Meanwhile (and this is serious), residents in the Carolinas should really evacuate from the Atlantic shores and areas below sea level. Play it safe, and avoid the path of 'Hurricane Florence'!

*Chuckles* The man is the master of understatement big enough
to float a battleship through.
On the serious side though, even the
Weather Channel is saying not to pay attention to the overall
Category level of the storm, when its sheer bloody size, and the
feet of rain it's gonna drop on the entire Carolina states are gonna
cause unbelievable, massive destruction, all by itself.

Curiously, a hurricane doesn't always have rain attached to it, as seen in this footage from Orlando:

So a hurricane is defined by wind, not rain. Go figure!
