Commander Ezo observes the operations of his Manticore class stealth bomber. Being deployed for 6 months deep in enemy territory wears down the psyche of a Wolf. The daily task of monitoring hostiles and attacking industrial convoys was once thrilling and exciting. But the brutality of the coalition campaign to seize the Teneferis region has left Ezo cold and empty.

At the start of the deployment he had empathy for his prey. His marks weren't military pilots. They were civilians. Industrialists from Hi-Sec systems looking for work to make a living in the outer reaches of Null Sec. It was not exactly their fault they chose the wrong corporation to work for.

Ezo now sees them as nothing but numbers and statistics. Each torpedoed Mining Barge or Industrial Transport meant less arms and supplies to the enemies. If this war was going to end he would need to suppress any empathy and all mercy to maintain focus on the mission.

With close to 1,100 enemy ships destroyed valuing half a trillion Interstellar Kredits and the tens of thousands of lives taken, Ezo has received accolades and praise from his alliance for his service. He would trade all the medals and titles for just one night of sleep without the nightmares.
