After a few postings from my Andur dreamscape, I decided to post something from my A&K Prime dreamscape. Megan Rosenberg while having a rather unusual lifestyle http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2274008/ and being somewhat fussy; she does have a very practical side to her. Especially when it comes to her main transportation.
This is a 2004 Toyota Sunflower. It is a retro-style small van/ SUV that Toyota in that world, no I made this up you can't buy one, started bringing into the states. "Like the happiness you find in a sunflower's face!" was their original ad campaign. While cashing in on some of the retro craze that made things like the PT Cruiser popular, the Sunflower is very practical vehicle that fills several important niches.
One of the things that designers, of all types, in my world must face is how do you design for a population where adults that range from 8" inches tall to 8ft tall. With the extremes of the graph you have to treat them as their own categories. That still leaves a large population of individuals who range just under 4ft tall to just about 6 foot who need a car. The Sunflower was designed to easily adapted to a wide range of sizes without too serious compromising its main mission as a cargo hauler. Lots of detail went into designing the interior space to get maximum use of it while maintain a certain retro charm. Megan was rather smitten by the two-tone paint scheme and whitewall tires on it. Like everything she owns she take meticulous care of it.

Nope everybody drives on the same street. Needless to say mice don't drive on public streets. This is an extreme example but here is one driven by my maniac little female weasel Twitch! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/796593/
Yanno, I think if Toyota did make a car like that, it'd sell like crazy about now. I know I'd buy one! :) I'd get one in a metallic blue with all that shiny shiny chrome on it, and whitewall tires. :) Got to have a white interior too. It'd be so sweet! (yes, I love older and retro cars better than most all modern cars. I miss chrome and tailfins!)
A car to range from a mouse to eight feet tall... Good lord. Ergonomics must be a nightmare in your world.
Though, now I wonder... With mice, I assume the engineers there, by this time, have a full grasp of the concepts of 'Power Assist' everything.
Now I'm wondering about a full-size Class Eight with controls sized for mice. Good lord, you wouldn't have a sleeper, you'd have a mansion.

Is that legislated, or just cultural?
Also, is it because of the size of the vehicle? Because a Class Eight is a semi... Mice or no, it'll have to be big enough to pull a full-size trailer.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to use drive-by-wire or something in that reality...

Oh yes. But I my subconscious just couldn't help but play car designer! In fact I've become rather curious about Scion xB and might consider it for my next car. As much as I love higher performance vehicles, first and foremost I need a practical, functional, economical one.
