Jane's ref sheet in full display. The bird of paradise's feathers are the darkest known to man and form a perfectly black ellipse. This forms a perfect "stage" against which to flash their yellow mouth and green "beard" feathers. The black ellipse is actually composed of a long nape train that fans out behind their head and wraps around in front of their shoulders.
