I agree, and notice how the outside toe is a bit larger? Since bears walk pigeon toed, most of the step down pressure is on the outer toe (like us with our big toe).
What amazes me is the sole has the same basic shape as a Human's. If reincarnation is true... I want to be a bear in my next life.
