A friend of mine took his own life very recently. He was like a brother to me. I wish I could have been there to say something, to help him through this.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. You must still be feeling helpless about it; it's a lousy way to feel, I know. I hope he died easy. If there's anything after this, I hope it's kinder to him than life was and I hope you meet him there.
