Well I suppose technically it doesn't have to disappear. It could just change into the thing she was thinking about at the time.
If she starts getting board and starts thinking about food, it could turn into a giant hoagie sandwich. Or if she starts thinking about being lonely and bored while receiving the biggest history lesson in history, she could find herself in the lap of a giant Vix plush.
