This here is one of Captain Cutthroat's many crimes he committed in his day. As mentioned earlier, he is not a merciful pirate and he's not even human. He is of course a "vampirate" and he is thirsty for the blood of the East India Trading Company, specially, this terrified lord. Also, if you look carefully, you can see blood stains on the ship rail and the flag.
