The explosion created a large cloud of smoke and the others were worried if Koda survived and as the smoke cleared away they see the creature dead and covered in flames. Then Koda climbed on the creature then leans on it telling everyone that he is okay safe and sound. Kimball was relived but also sick in tired of Koda cheating death it just makes her worried.
