I have been working on the Lion Taming stories for some time now, and some of the response that they have gotten has really... well, alarmed me.
Originally, I had just written the stories for fun and it was suggested to me that we should share them and a plan was made for it which is the release schedule that you have all seen (those who had read them, that is). I won't say what the inspiration was for the stories (blush...), but suffice to say that I included things I like and so forth.
Some of the content, however, seems to have really struck a nerve with people. Which, I think is a little odd because I have seen stories 100 times worse than mine as far as cruelty goes... yet, people seem to have really rallied behind me (or my character, at least). It strikes me that the possible reason is because almost all of the other stories I have read with this type of content are told from the point of view of the dominant one.
At any rate, I have gotten much feedback and some notes that imply a certain amount of disdain toward my mate, and this was not my intent by any stretch of the imagination.
So, I wanted to write something else about us that shows things in a different light. Maybe even shows some of the reasons why I feel for him as strongly as I do. And, so we have "For Breeze"
I attempted to write with an older style and manner of speech. Maybe it sounds a little pretentious to some, but it has meaning for me. Thank you to anyone that takes the time to read it.

*hugs* Another wonderful story, i think that style of writing, Shakespeare maybe...(haven't read much of his works :P) It's a really good style. The words...i understood great iamgery in my head, the feeling of both characters were portrayed beautifully *gives a golden star and rate of 15/10* ^^

I do, but to be honest I haven't been on very much lately. Just sort of taking a break due to some personal things going on. I'm trying to work on getting back online more often soon, though.

Good lord *shakes head* somttimes I just don't get people at all.
Far, I love the stories for what they are - well written stories using material and scenes that many of us can relate to and enjoy.
Don't let a discouraged and disillusioned few get you down
From what I've seen, both you and Breeze are ace furs. Anyone thinks differently or can't see beyond that then there's underlying issues there that words can't solve.

As for this piece, - and I speak with no sense of cynicism or irony here - it moved me. Seriously.
This is beutifully written and there's heart in it. Metaphor or actual event, it doesn't matter. There's a warmth and a passion here that struck a vein within me.
*hugs for the pair of you again*
When you find somone special its a rare and brilliant thing.
Hold on to eachother.
And keep on writing for goodness sake. Some of us can seperate fact from fiction and enjoy your work :)

I'm following adam, far, if people aren't willing to go back a few stories and look at both you and your mates pages to see you truly care for each other..it's just sickening they are putting you down for a story. If you and breeze are OK with them, do it. Don't let a few people who think it's "wrong" by their values. Noone's perfect, not everyone likes the same things.
I wish they'd just keep it to them selves. What good is saying.. Ohh It shows breeze hates you blah blah... etc... You enjoy writing the stories, I love reading them and seeing the beautiful talent you have.

Somtimes I think some people complain just because they themselves have nothing positive to say about their own lives. And if they're that sensitive then maybe they should look at maybe investing in some thicker skin, or maybe just some common sense.
Constructive criticism aside there's no reason to comment on somones work with the intent of just being mean.

There are those who have an unhealthy attachment to their own opinion so much so that it must be expressed to others good or bad.
Far, Breeze, I see no harm and no foul. And I've done enough of both to see them when they happen and you guys certainly have done nothing to warrant the need for ott rebukes.
Carry on. Prepare two-fingered salutes for those who don't know that if there's nothing nice to say then to just stay quiet.

I have to agree with you. I have read a few things that I really was sort of... disturbed by. My reaction, though, was to simply not comment and not go back and read any more. If I have that kind of negative reaction I feel like I can't be impartial enough to give constructive criticism, and I certainly can't talk about how good it was. The only other option is to put it down, and I don't see much point in doing that. It's simply a matter of taste, really.
It really wasn't that bad with the comments on the stories. It was more some private notes I got that really disturbed me. I just tried not to respond much except to point out that it was, you know... a work of fiction. heh...

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and for the very thoughtful comments. I was very surprised at the reaction from some people to the stories. I'm not sure if I should possibly take it as a compliment that I was able to make them feel to such a degree when they read my work. It does trouble me that it might give people the wrong impression about Breeze, though. In reality, he is one of the kindest most giving people I have ever met. And, the love we feel isn't simply about something physical.
Anyway, I won't get all mushy here, but I want to thank you very much for your kind words. I really appreciate that some people do like my writing ^_^

You are an amazing writer. The fact that people are believing it to the extent of giving Breeze grief, is a terrible way of showing how awesome of a writer you really are. I have read both of the Lion Taming ones, and I have to admit that I was dragged into the illusion, but that's all it was, an illusion. I've been watching you long enough to know you two dearly love each other. ~Hug~ Peace, dude.
great stroy ^^, and it is sad how ppl are treating breeze like that, i know a few furs that like to have someone like that actually, so i don't see why ppl are putting him down over something that's not true, and really it's pretty tame really, not vilent. well talking about the lion taming stroy. i mean the things i do ppl would think i'm evil, be really kind hearted
Well, here we are. My struck nerve and butterflies have left me... I feel comforted now, I think Breeze and Far are a cute couple but sometimes Breeze gets a bit, shall we say? Possessive of Far, but when they are alone and are just, together, it is perfect. I think Breeze puts on a little show for his friends, just to make him seem dominant. But overall I adore this story, so I am going to favourite it, and un-favourite the First Lion Taming one, since that isn't my favourite. This is wonderful, cute and shows the real side of Breeze, not the evil side that one lurked over both Far and Breeze. Good job, in fact, Wonderful job. You have made me let a tear drop from my eye, which is a sign that it is instead a Beautiful peice of writing from Far. Your the best of all author on FurAffinity, you make me cry, tears of joy. That what makes me pleased to be on here, reading this story, late at night, next to a computer, crying my eyes out. You've touched my heart.

A Dominant myself, I know that you can have multiple faces. I have been the caring, loving partner that helped my pet feel safe. I have been strict, firm, and unyielding, opening those desires that they didn't even know about themselves..and then, I've been the cold hard ..well, you know. Change is the only constant in this world..and any relationship that is going to work needs that. I could tell in the first lion taming story that they both cared for each other. Limits are there to be pushed sometimes. Great work though on painting this lovely picture of another side. I think a lot needed to see it. Don't stop writing.
Thank you very much for these comments. Speaking from the other side, I know what it is like to want to please my master in every way I can... no matter what. But, there is so much more to it than that. I think, in some ways... a relationship doesn't work if two people are just one thing to each other. I'm not sure how to put that.
