Bronze dirk. Different pic.
Pic of the bronze dirk I made as a commission for a friend. He provided the blade- a repro of an original, cast in tin bronze.
I then took his reference material and worked up a hilt in french caro walnut burl and bronze pins.
The sheath is a sandwich construction in I think oak? don't remember- but I chiseled out a channel for the blade on the inside of two halves and glued and fastened the halves together with wooden dowel pins.
The final stage was wet forming and sewing a cover in goat leather, and adding a bandolier of the same leather.
