Middle school, hm? It's interesting to me when people look back on what their styles used to be, or prior projects like they were a bad thing.
I knew someone who for years would do things in such a style; she loved it, I loved it, and she stuck to it. So to see others seem to phrase it like it was a detriment, instead of part of the whole of the journey is perplexing.

haha yeah, I used to be really into anime style way back then. I guess to some extent I still am, but I'd prefer to describe my style as 'toony' these days. :v
? Oh, no, I wasn't intending to sound rude about it? I was just expressing that it was hard for me to adapt back to this style. I've nothing against those who prefer a more purist anime style, there's nothing wrong with it. I just thought it was a difficult mindset to get into, haha

I can definately understand the troubles of getting back into something you haven't used in AGES. It can lead to some boggling situations.
And nah, I didn't mean for my statement to be taken in a sense that you're attempting to be disrespectful. As mentioned, reminiscing about the past, along with having met those who DID look back on their creative past with disdain.
