I think there's something just super inherently creepy about plague doctors, whether it's the existing association with death or that dead-eyed stare... what an aesthetic though, right?

i think its the mask mostly. it was creepy back then and filled with herbs to help prevent them getting sick but typically i think there considered omens of death cuz how the plegue was back then
