I can't put this in any category lols
I will remove/move in scraps maybe. I dunno. I kinda wanted to show it to people cuz I'm quite proud of it.
It's sterling silver and Swarovski Crystal bicones and the heart piece of course.
It took 8-10 hours in one go (with food breaks and much dawdling :< I was slow) to do yesterday and it's for my mum for her Birthday.
Strange thing to submit I know, but still, there are some really random photos on this site anyways so I don't really see the harm, and I DID make it myself.
And if there's anyone out there who makes jewellery I'd love to see some :)!
I have lots of jewellery over on DA gallery, I can link you some here (they're kinda older though when I was learning, nothing special):
Blue Daisy Necklace (I made the beads myself out of fimo/sculpy clay)
Glass Bead Anklet
Cluster Necklace
Button-drop Earrings (really simple but meh!)
Poring Keychain! Eee~!!

lol tactful... not!!
I haven't made it for a looong time. Might have been 8 hours but I dither lol. I had my boyfriend over and we were chatting and I was undecided on the colour scheme. I did this with quite a big pair of round-nosed pliers as well cuz I cant find my teeny ones!!
I'm definatelyrusty, and this is longer than the photo suggests, and it was so tiny I was a bit slow on it. When I get going I can do those little loops really fast.
But yeah it tok me a looong time cuz I was working with silver and was a bit nervous, I usually dont give a crap how much wire I waste but this stuff was pretty expensive.

Well I just had a quick look at your gallery, I will go through it better later, to get a feel for the sort of things you make yourself, and it's quite different to what I've just posted. Your work is very nice, looks a lot chunkier in size which might make it a bit easier/faster to piece together once you've planned it? I don't really know, I work on a tiny scale and it's really frustrating. I'm no expert at all, and in a way yes I am a beginner, in the sense I think I've spent a lot of time on the basics and I have never been taught anything. I worked in a craft shop for 2.5 yrs so I sorta got interested and taught myself.
I had no real direction with this until I put it together and ket adding to it. I guess it was like drafting it as I went.
Anyways I will definately be looking at your gallery better later, jsut it's relaly late here right now and I am off to bed shortly!
Thanks for your comments :D

Aww thank you hun, it's really nice that you appreciate hand crafted jewellery. I think it's quite special because like in this isntance I really put a lot of thought and effort into it and I do this regularly for people I want to give something special to. It's also like drawing, you can really tailor it to the person you want to aim it at so it's special.
Thank you so much for leaving a comment :D xxx

Well, there's quite a lot of tutorials on youtube and online, the youtube ones are quite clear to follow and also you can pause them of course. The easiest things to start with are Earrings and really simple bracelets where u can thread things onto a piece of wire or cord/elastic. I find earrings the nicest when you're starting out cuz you can pretty much make them in a short time and be all OMG LOOK I CAN WEAR THESE !! XD XD
You need quite a bit of patience though, as it can be fiddly working on tiny scales, but that's the same with anything creative i guess! :) x

Yeah it can be pricey but it's good fun and you can pretty much buy tons of cute beads and crystals and charms and make your own stuff to wear out. Sometimes when I am stuck for jewellery for an outfit I jsut quickly put something together and off I goooo!! :D Good luck with it :3
