Character Sketch: Eli
Comments are always appreciated :)
This is a character that hasn't been around as much as some of the others, but he's still been around in my mind for over a year so I felt it was time that I drew him. He is also one of my characters that I am most intrigued by.
Full Name: Elliot "Eli" Michael Tanner
Species: Red Fox
Age: 24
Birthday: November 2nd
Eli insists on being referred to as his self-appointed nickname due to him hating his real name. The only ones who still call him "Elliot" are his parents, much to his annoyance. He can be a bit weird on first impressions due to him always wearing suits, no exceptions. Eli is one of my fursona, Marcus's, high school friends, having met in senior year. He has an aversion to showing fur and wears the suits to reveal as little of himself as possible. There is a reason for this, but I don't know if I should say it here in the description. Let's just say the reason is related to a traumatic event he experienced as a kid that had a certain degree of negative impact on his psyche.
He is asexual, having no interest or plans to have sex, and is capable of seeing females nude without feeling anything. This is also related to the previously mentioned past event.
Another strange thing about him is that he doesn't seem to have much of a mental filter in terms of what he says out loud. He tends to vocalize what's on his mind rather than keep things confined to thoughts. This results in him often saying things that come across as hurtful, but he is quick to apologize if he recognizes it as out of line. His opinion of people is not the best, mostly having a cynical world view and expecting the worst in people until he is shown otherwise. As such, he doesn't trust easily, but becomes extremely loyal to anyone who manages to break down his barriers.
His interests include mythology of any culture (but he hates anything having to do with the Illiad or the battle of Troy), theatre, playing piano, and singing. He has an extreme talent as a pianist and a beautiful singing voice. This passion was previously disapproved of by his parents because they wanted him to have a different career that had little to do with the arts, but by now he has there approval after them seeing his performance in a school talent show.
I think that's all the information I have on him for now. Thank you if you read the bio. I really like coming up with characters.

He is ideed.
Funny enough, he was originally supposed to have a different hair style as I kept imagining him with sort of long hair in the back. But when I tried drawing it the hair wouldn't turn out right. I think I'm going to make it so that he had the "imagined" hair during high school and this is his current look.
As for the pose, I try to make the poses simple but effective in showing off their character, and I think him looking back really sells it ^^
Oh, and no, he isn't supposed to be smiling
I tried something new with shading that I think I might have to try again, at least on clothes. It appeared to make the risk of the shading being lost during the scan not as much as it would be if I went with filling it all the way it.
