A lot of Furries have these character badges with their character (headshot or full body) and the name in a fancy font.
I uploaded the drawing here, but now it needed to be turned into a physical badge. But how?
Why, high-powered lasers, of course!
First, I scaled to 8.5x11 and printed out the image on a laser printer (it took 20+ attempts to get the color settings right), then I cut the drawing out using a CO2 laser cutter, making sure the alignment was exactly right. Next, I used the laser cutter to cut out two opposite halves of heat-activated laminate sheet, and finally, aligned everything using a template I printed earlier, and ran it through a laminator.
The first misaligned attempt is on the right, while the second attempt is on the left, complete with badge clip. With the second design, the badge is totally sealed making it waterproof and washable!
