Usari the Half-Orc meet Rilla the Halfling
The last of our companions for this story is the Half-Orc Ranger Usari Rugaton, a guide that uses his stock brute strength and surprising agility to make his money and feed his drake until it's fit to bring with him. He's also a family man with a wife and kids, taking the charter and promise of riches so his family will be able to live somewhere that's not the icy forests of Stoneclimb in northern Brevoy.
Rilla Silvereye however...oh the halfling has family, but her love is the stories of battle and valor, of massed charges against dragons and the long cavalier against hordes of unwashed bandits. She's technically a member of the Brunderton militia a community that's mostly dwarven in population but she prefers being outside of the city walls and fights as a hussar style cavalier, using the speed of her faithful wolf Galen to bring her lance into some poor stupid tall fellow that thought a halfling covered in spikes riding a wolf would be an easy target. She's sworn to the Order of the Paw, and takes the charter to explore because...money! Freedom to go charge after anything she deems a threat to her companions and scare the beejesus out of forest critters.
Poor Usari though, he's a ranger, he doesn't speak to animals...that squirrel needs a druid for that complaint to get through.
