Partial background piece commissioned by

of his character Alys, a fire mage who has found herself in the middle of an enchanted forest. This was a lot of fun to work on, I am really enjoying doing backgrounds like these. (Self-indulging in my new Eyvind Earle style obsession. lol) The mushrooms on the trees and the runes on the trim of her dress were done with gold paint pen; they don't show up super great in the scan but are very shiny in person when the light hits them just right. :)
