Note: didn't really put this anywhere to be seen by the masses. if you're here, it's kind of an accident. Uploaded to host it...
Anyways, this is a place that gave me a feeling other than "blah" in an indie sim game called Rise. It's... well, it's a game being produced by three dudes in their spare time. So, it'd be disappointing IF it were a corporate effort; but the fact is, it's Amateur, and thus I feel good about it.
I found out that the best ground vehicle is a construction rig called a MuVER--oddly enough, it is the only ground vehicle that can go faster than 60 KPH (approximately 35 MPH). As a matter of fact, I've been cutting close to 90 mph (140kph)! And driving over the distant, rocky wilderness of the western mountains outside of the city. The whole world is a massive sandbox except for the main city, but there's literally nothing out here... except dirt. Varying qualities of dirt. There's supposed to be ore, veins of crystal, chemical deposits, and fuels... but the only thing I've been able to survey at all is the arability of the soil. Feh. Out here it's particularly bad, too :p
still... s'anice view.
