Another personal piece of Donovan I did a few weeks ago.
Vent art is of huge importance to me, it helps me stay positive, keeps me motivated, and is a tool I use in my therapy to express things to my therapist I cannot find the words for.
This time I really wanted to use Donovan and just lose myself in the process of making the piece.
People often feel trapped like this and it can be hard to find a solution, but please don’t ever give up! You’ve got this!
There was one song that really fueled the inspiration, so I’ll put a bit of it here:
I heard the passing bells calling out my name
I knew I'd never see another day
I couldn't swim against the tides of blame
I knew there was no other way
You better practice your lines
You better practice your words
I know that real monsters lie
Between the light and the shade
It doesn't matter what you say or feel
When honest men become deranged
They'll genuflect to a lie
I saw the dagger eyes staring back at me
I knew I'd never have a chance to plead
Guilty, but in the sight of fallen men
They bury you before you speak
