So I have an upcoming woodcut project this week for university. The requirements were that I needed a 10in x 10in high contrast image to work from. Unlike the last printmaking project, this one had no specific theme required. So I said AW YEAH BOSS I GOTS THAT JIGGA MAH PRINTAH and made up this high contrast image to use. ;)
Hey, boss prof said it could be anything as long as it was high contrast, so I'm in. I just hope it's contrasty enough. If I'm lucky, you'll see a progression as I start to transfer this, and then woodcut the figure, and then woodcut a background.
Augh action pose, using ENERGY to launch into epic martial arts battle. I LOVE THOSE PAWS, they're my favorite part! Everything else sucks. Pigma ink and pencil on paper, refined to look good with Photoshop.

Thank you. :) I tried very hard to move away from human-shaped feet, and back to wolfen paws, partly because I don't want to get into the habit of putting human feet always. Sometimes you need PAW paws. And partly, if I did human feet, it'd look too furry for my poor innocent class and prof.... I figure they need to see either wolf or person, too much mix will break them 8p ;)
