TERRACE OF MYSTERY
At the height of the temple, you reach the last court, open to the skies, and terraces with altars to heaven spread out before you.
Taking the first terrace, you find the altar is more of a plinth, like the ones you saw lining the entrance. Cartouches and hieroglyphics cover the base of the plinth. Reading it, the names of kings, and gods swirl through your mind, lifting from the plinth and encircle you.
The ancient words, and secret knowledge rush through you, changing your humanity, to something far more. Great wings burst from your back, and your arms and legs transform into the limbs of a great lion. From the neck down, you become a lion, you eyes glowing with arcane power. With a feline grace, you leap up on tot your plinth, you have become the SPHINX
