I say. For "slapping on some color" you've managed to immerse your dragon in quite the evocative setting... the way that mysterious network of shadows cuts across the stone / sandy floor adds significant depth to the image, and the mystery of that dark void behind feeds the imagination. Its placement behind the subject is not a logical shape... but it is a pretty one.

I also really like the way you faded out the highlight where the neck flows into the torso, and the redness of shadow beneath that... adds to the light's softness, like it's reflected off an adjacent wall.
