Had a comment elsewhere that mentioned the guitar tone I use sounds "too crunchy", which, while I do attribute it to the equipment used (that being Logic Pro's own stock plugins), led me to go back to the drawing board, study the tones that I've been aiming for a little closely (that being a combination of Arjen Lucassen's and Bad Salad), and try to emulate them further with what I currently have software-/hardware-wise.
For comparison, you're hearing the initial, "Album 2" tone that I've been using since 2017 first, and then the new tone, using the same recordings. Additionally, there is also the old MIDI bass preset that I used in "Album 2", followed by a new MIDI bass preset that I have been using since my "Water" cover.
On reflection, while the "Album 2" tone is basier and 'meatier' (although that could be from the bass guitar), I like how the "Album 3" tone's notes are more pronounced - you kind of tell a little more what I'm actually playing. While it still needs work, I'm thinking it's more of an EQ thing; I'm actually still using the same EQ settings on both tones.
All in all, it's still a work in progress. Chances are I'll be uploading more tone tests later down the line - at the very least, when it comes to "Album 3"'s release (whenever that will be), I personally don't want it to sound exactly the same as "Album 2". Even if I'm still using a Telecaster (a reproduction one at that) which aren't apparently suited to my personal style of rock music, as well as, as mentioned before, stock Logic Pro plugins (that being a combination of Pedalboard and playing around with the settings on Amp Designer).
