THE AVENUE OF SPHINXES

Choosing to stay and explore the exterior, you arrive at the avenue of pedestals, each with remains of a lying lion. They stretch in a straight line, past the last marker of the temple precinct, all of them destroyed by time, and their inscriptions lost to erosion.

Strangely, the last two do not have any remains at all. The two pedestals facing each other at the end are bare and smooth.

The plinth is smooth to the touch, bare of inscription and carved of stone. You circle the structure, searching for any inscriptions or carvings, finding nothing. You run your hands over the surface, and soon find yourself standing on it.

As you stand on the plinth, you survey your new charge, you must protect this temple. Your hands and feet become clawed, and tawny fur covers your arms and legs. A Tail whips out from behind you, as you go down to all fours. Horns curl from your head, and your pushes into a muzzle the CYRIOSPHINX
