This is my Emu puppet. The eyes and the beak are animated with replacements and attach with magnets. It has a wire armature, fur for feathers (old scraps from RoseQuoll that I still had, glad I saved them) The toes are wired so they can curl when he lifts his foot and walk around. And the big center toe has a brass plate so I can screw it down. I even located and visited a real emu farm to get motion and design references for this project, and the farmer gave me some emu feathers, which I gave to Tserisa to use to make neat patterns on her ceramics projects with. All of the parts on this are replaceable, and the fur is removable too so I don't have to sew more whenever a piece breaks. There's a rig attachment through his back and the fur hides it really well. I went to a fetish shop for the latex that I used for the legs, because it comes in different colors. XD
