Born in 2006, meet the four cougar residents of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Motega, Yuma, Tocho, and Kaya. They were orphaned as cubs in Wyoming when their mother was killed by a poacher. Rescued by a good Samaritan as I recall, they were brought to the zoo in Colorado and have called it home ever since.

I think I might have gone a little overboard enhancing this photo. I have to rely on CS2 and don't have Lightroom, so my options are limited. It gets frustrating since the same process gives vastly different results for each photo. I might try 3-4 different methods before I find one that looks good for a particular image, then work to refine it further. Yet here it just seems ... a bit excessive. Ah well. I'll keep at it.
