I didn't want to see a Zangoose be like that. I don't think the father's drawing lines are hard enough. It's probably my love of zangooses, but I can't hate either of them. Or probably it comes from the fact that I've seen a lot of stories about the subject do it more subtly and more plausibly than that, for exemple, no battered child cares about his lover's umbrella when it is covered in blue, without offense, it's déjà vu.
No one becomes an alcoholic for no reason. And from the way the father talks about Zag's mother, I'm sure it has something to do with it.
They both need psychological help to get out of this situation. Not just one of the two dies. You can claim revenge when the father is sane again.

Could have lead with that though. Images like this will usually trigger sadness but also rage. So just a random nope to someone who was more enraged leaves confusion. I'm all for being shown a different path and in this case a more rational path, but the straight no.... doesn't help the "heat of the moment" reaction.
