[PKMN] Golurk Warstruct / Medjai
Originally designed to be deployed on the frontlines of his Master's army of Warstructs, Medjai's first run on the battlefield came to an abrupt end when the Golurk took a blow that shattered one half of his head, knocking him out of the sky and crash-landing as his internal energy leaked out of his open fractures. Effectively discarded by his Master as a useless failure, the Golurk was left to be swallowed by the earth as years and centuries slipped by...
... until one day, a little over a millennium-and-a-half after his fall, a Heatmor happened to unearth him while digging for quality clay for his pottery. The Heatmor, Fernando Glazier, excavated the Golurk and decided to keep it around as a project, with plans to practice his restoration skills. Using some spare clay, Fernando molded a new half for the Golurk's head, thankful to be working with such a simple shape. As soon as the head was restored, however, the Golurk suddenly sprang to life, still having plenty of internal energy left within his body, but was slowly losing control of himself as the new half of his head began to crack, leaking his energy again. Thinking quickly, Fernando slapped a towel over the Golurk's head, then hurriedly fashioned an eyepatch to cover the fracture, while keeping the new clay secure, thus preventing the Golurk from leaking more energy and going berserk.
Medjai is rather timid, his PTSD from being almost completely destroyed making him fearful of getting fractured, or worse, prompting him to shy away from any perceived threats. Therefore, he prefers to stay at home in Fernando's workshop/garage/residence, tending to the area and performing simple chores while Fernando is out and about. Fernando has considered making enhancements for Medjai to give the Golurk better defenses and offenses, but it seems Medjai has no interest in combat.

The majority of Guardian Golems were designed with a masculine/powerful visage in mind, especially the ones who were to be out on the battlefield (although some of the original crafters also experimented with well-build feminine forms, as well), to give the impression that these golems were both fearsome and fearless. If anything besides that, they were meant to be displayed, especially in public appearances and gatherings, and it wouldn't have looked good on anyone's part to have a golem out in public that looked like they were literally slapped together from building blocks or logs.
tl;dr - if they were gonna make something like an automaton, it should at least look nice. Sure, it didn't help Medjai originally, but it wasn't like he was expected to survive in the first place.
