The nuckelavee is a drought/plague demon from the mythology of the Orkney Isles of northern Scotland, and also has an incredibly specific historical description from a man who claimed to have been chased home by the nuckelavee one night. While I’ve taken some liberties with the design, most of this should be reasonably true to the description because it’s just so damn cool.
Another one of those pieces where my teacher and classmates' feedback made all the difference-- I pulled all-nighters every single Thursday of this past semester, but man was it worth it.
