This was another build that took way too long. I started this one along with the Milwaukee. Both were massive challenges, but they came out alright and really pushed my skills. Rigging is getting easier, and so is disruptive camouflage. Interesting to this model is that there is no consensus as to what colors she actually wore in 1943. One school of thought that she wore a grayscale pattern identical to these patterns, the other is that she wore the “flotta” scheme I decided to represent her in. There are ample historical references for both, and even wore both. I figured this one was more interesting, so settled on it after confirming with some sources. It was a Flyhawk kit, which is one of the nicest, most detailed kits I’ve ever worked with. Loved it.
