I remember working in BlockBuster and having a guy come in to ask for a refund on a DVD he'd rented. (This was when DVD's were pretty new, mind.) He slammed it down on the counter saying it didn't work. When we looked at it it had a massive spiral scratch around the outside, going in slightly. Turns out he thought they worked like Vinyl records.

Yeah, had them. We've had people sell us stolen XBoxes, the shop I worked in got robbed about 3 times a year, too.

Father repairs his own lawnmower. Making extra cash is cool too, so he finds that people throw entire lawnmowers out in the trash. He'll walk them home and take parts. But, nothing takes the cake like the one he found.

He assesses it, Sees if there's any crankshaft damage, none. Any deck damage? None. Wheel? Piston? Handle? Blade?.......

I work at netflix....and I get the most retarded notes stuck in with DVDs....sometimes I just have to stop and re-read it a few times while going 'wat?'

like my days when I worked at six flags and the people asked me if the roller coaster went upside down. I'd look behind me at the ride in plain sight and tell them nope. usually as one of the trains went through the double loop or double cork screw.

Even those who don't work such jobs have to deal with such people. At a gas station a woman had car problems and did not know how to inflate her tires. I tried to help and discovered her tires were extremely low. Then she wanted me to just put a little bit of air inside. Not even up to the required amount.
