Now this one is done! The sourang are a very prominent species in Gre7g's Fair Trade, which is coming out . . . soonish? It's the sequel to his other books. It's the third in a series, go . . . just go here: http://rickgriffinstudios.com/hayven-celestia/
I admit I wanted to get this one done because I needed to complete the very long-winded sections of this sheet which are super important!

I can't quite believe that this should pop up in my feed the day after I finished 'Small World'. Can't wait for the third book in the trilogy now.
Of all the species you've laid out in these reference sheets, the Sourang have got to be the most impressive. Their penetrating self-awareness and ability to transform other species are fascinating and, so far as I'm aware, unique traits. There is great storytelling potential here. It's also high time we met a species that the Krakun could not completely dominate.
Two thumbs, huh? That's gotta be a lot of fun. And - whoa - adolescent at 35,000 years? Did I read that right?

Hrmm. The race FEELS highly engineered, whether in their deep past or by a no longer present secondary species. More importantly, such hyper-adaptative capability makes me think that whether it was them or someone else, it used some serious S2+ (second singularity or greater) technology (Second toposophic transsapient). Interesting worldview, also makes me wonder whether they know of this background (if I'm accurate in my guesses).
