Soundlessness beneath the open waters
A barrier engulfs the open mind
Taking me out beyond the reef
Into the vast endless depths of the great unknown...
Feel the beat, feel the pressure
Blood rushing through my ears
Keep on moving, keep it going
Stopping when our journey's at its end.
Each wave passes to the shoreline,
With a sweet gentle feeling...
I treat myself to a chocolate,
...And use its energy to train myself once more...!
Whew...! ^^; At long last, Luigi's FINAL girl is at last drawn and coloured. =) It's been a long 5 months, and already MUCH has changed. Luiza, the punky Vaporeon girl (and good friend of Aithra the Umbreon and Rosa the Espeon) is at last complete. The rock star girl renown for her participation in a band is only but one of many things that this lovely lil' water vixen is known for. She loves chocolate, she enjoys time with her friends, she loves to train hard and swim fast beneath the ocean's depth. In the daytime, she is a swim coach and owns a pool where she teaches children and adults how to swim. At nightfall, she's rockin' with the band as they put on their next greatest performance.
I had a great time drawing Luiza. =) All of the girls, really, but I think Aithra and Luiza especially. With Luiza, I experimented with my newly-found pen skills, and used all my Sakura pens on her to give her a layered, in-depth manga-esque feel to her that can only be found in comic books. And with the aid of the Prismacolor pencils that my very close and brother figure friend Awsoon got me for my birthday, I was able to colour her hair EXACTLY how I wanted to see it. :3 I think that's the big reason why I'm so happy about this picture: Heads are a difficulty for me when it comes to colouring, not that many people knew that. But with Luiza--she came out just as Aithra did, and it turned out spectacular. =) What I had to do to keep myself working harder on her body was, I coloured EVERYTHING BUT her hair and her eyes. By doing this, it gave her a vacant look that made me work harder and wanting to bring her to life. Then, I finished up by colouring the hair and the eyes last, and used it to touch up other areas like the shirt and the tail.
Unfortunately, the blue-grey doesn't show up too well on here... ='( Mostly a scanner issue, but I did my best to get it to show through. The rest of the colours came out fine, except for the bra strap--which malfunctioned when the tip of the pencil snapped. >,<;; So, please don't mind it. ;;
Luiza and the rest of the 'vee girls were an amazing project, and I learned a LOT about drawing, as well as about the girls themselves, and it really got me to think about them in a deeper sense. =) I had a pleasure drawing Luiza, and I think anyone should give -any- of these girls a hand sometime and draw them. ^^ I know Luigi wouldn't mind it at all, and who knows--maybe you'll come to love them just as much as I did. ;3

Thanks Cori~. Luigi's girls have been a project of mine since the start of April, and have since just kept moving from there. I'm not up-to-date with who draws Luigi's girls--I'm just focused on his art, and mine. I imagine there's quite a spectrum out there though.
