'bout time I got some uematsu in here! Could the best piano player in the world play this? I dunno, maybe. I certainly can't. Such a cool battle theme, I had to try and arrange it. You know I never did check the terms of use policy or whatever to see if arrangements are allowed... Oh well, if they aren't that's their loss. Oh, and this was all by ear too, like all of my arrangements =P
Update: Though I have gone back and redone all of my piano arrangements with better pianos, I spent a particular good amount of time on this one to get the reverb right. Just think of dual pianists rocking out in a large gym.
Inspiration: Made this after playing through FF8 for the first time. Also the Black Mages <3

The echoing reverb in the opening minute of the song as it leads up to the beginning of the main body is superb, and just adds to the creepy, disembodied feeling the original version grants when space has been all but destroyed as all of existance collapses in on your party and Ultimecia.
The main body while lacking the depth of the full orchestraited original still contains that sense of adrenaline inducing urgency.
All up, you've created something truly special here. Definately worthy of a fave, a download and if your other stuff is this good, a watch as well ^_^
Keep up the good work.
I haven't done much of this type of arrangement recently, but there is some good stuff in my gallery I think you'll enjoy (I see you faved one of my ff9 arrangement too tyvm :3) Thanks for the watch as well, kupo!
