My original gourd turtle "Woodrow the Wood Turtle" sold at the Charleston Gallery, but it was so well admired that a client asked me to make another! This is Woodrow Senior, the bigger father turtle to the original Woodrow. This turtle is bulky, with hefty legs and wrinkles galore. He's a wise turtle with a charming smile, friendly to all.
Woodrow Sr. measures 6" tall, 9" wide, and 15" long. Made of 3 gourds, high tensile wire, and epoxy clay. Eyes are handmade acrylic cabochons. Painted with acrylics.
