The Volcanic Legion is a rather large and fairly powerful faction in the post war era of Eldania. Typically considered to be the Blazedragon counterpart of the Tornado Knights, as both factions are run primarily by their respective dragon races. While the Legion does allow non fire legendz in their ranks, 80% percent of them are fire legendz with about 70% of that being Blazedragons. The goals of the Legion are very similar to that of the Tornado Knights. To protect the survivors of the legendz war so that civilization can be reborn from the ashes of war. Something they call the Phoenix Initiative. The key difference is their handling of power. They stick almost solely to the defender role, giving civil enforcement duty back to the people, unless there is no law enforcement in place, in which case, they will create a branch from their own forces. Another key difference is that they only salvage pre war resources when they have to, meaning they don't actively add to their military strength the same way the Tornado Knights do. They do it through voluntary service and bolstering the power of the legendz themselves. The ultimate glaring flaw of the Legion is their exclusion of Necrom refugees that want nothing to do with the Jabberwock. They no longer allow Necrom to settle in the cities they protect as well as Tornado Knight sympathizers, due to a large amount of bad blood that has grown between them. They believe that the Knights have abandoned their role as defenders and are more interested in making themselves more powerful. This sentiment is echoed through most of the Legion. However, their own prejudicial behavior makes them also unattractive to some, but many legendz consider them the better option as they are still for protecting the people, even with all the Legion's rough edges.

The differences between the Legion and the Knights stem to more than just philosophy and attributes. The Legion has no reliable means to constantly produce equipment for their soldiers, so its a common sight to see Blazedragons not wearing a full set of battle armor if any at all. What is there is armor that is no where prime condition. But Blazedragons in particular are very strong and relentless race that remain steadfast even with less than the Knights. They are also not completely militarized, with formalities only required in the presence of an officer or even their Head Commander. So its common to see Legion warriors being loose and casual even on duty. Though its often ignored so long as they still perform when needed and if they don't cause trouble.
