Station surfing is an extreme sport like snowboarding was planetside. The board has a dual-inverted grav unit to keep it floating a short distance above the surface of the station. A propulsion system then allows the rider to skim with no friction and no other gravitational effects over the surface.



Most stations will begrudgingly allow this sport as it is simply "external access". Other station laws cover any problems that can arise from the sport, such as interfering with station traffic or damage to the station. While some stations have specially-built surfing zones and support it as an official sport, most simply allow it as long as no other laws are broken and do not make special accommodations for station surfers.



Myia is very good at station surfing, but never got the urge to compete professionally.
