Actually, tree dart frogs are not venomous, they are poisonous. The difference between the two terms is that something which is poisonous administers through fangs or other things which puncture skin(for example, a cobra, a blue ring octopus or a platypus). Poisonous things however can only administer poison by being eaten, or they have poisonous secretions. Examples include the poison dart frog, poisonous berries, pacific newts and blister beetles.
