Trit is the only child of a Sandslash couple. This particular couple works and maintains an ice cream shop known as the Icy Parlor, with Trit working behind the counter to serve the food. Every so often Trit's father sends him out with the intent to use his cuteness to drive more business their way.

It is very effective advertising.

Trit's family is more unique in the city as his grandfather actually hails from the far north. Trit has a fascination with his grandfather's culture, becoming tight with Yuun given that the Weavile hails from that area.
